eLS eLearning Series: Framing Your Online Course

April 21 - May 4

During this online workshop, you will improve your online teaching skills by experiencing an online course as a student. You will be introduced to redesigning your face-to-face course for the online model by: adopting policies and procedures that will increase the success of the online course, creating an effective syllabus to fit the online model, developing a solid online course frame within PolyLearn, and establishing communication for welcoming your students to the online course.

As flipped and online learning increases in popularity, the need for new paradigms for lectures and lab demonstrations increases. Out of this need arises a solution: screencasting. This online four-week workshop will focus upon learning how to produce quality screencasts with Camtasia for the Macintosh or Windows platforms.

Flipping Your Classroom - Summer 2014

June 16-30 & Aug. 19 - Sept. 2

Following the success of last year’s Flipping Your Course Workshops, the CTLT will again accept proposals from up to 15 faculty who would like to "flip" a portion of their courses to replace lecture time with hands-on Learn by Doing activities. Successful candidates will receive a $1200 stipend upon successful completion of the workshops.
