Book Circles - Cumulative list

This is the list of books that CTLT has provided through our popular Book Circles, which offer new titles every quarter. The most recent selections are at the top and more will be added over time. This list may be of interest to those seeking relevant and informative resources related to education.

We offer book circles on several themes, which provides opportunities for participants to explore a topic more deeply over time. The themes include:

  • Mindful Educators
These book selections explore mindfulness, emotional intelligence, neuroscience and affect in education. Usually one per quarter.
  • Mastery Teaching
These book selections explore a broad variety of research-grounded methods and approaches to instruction. Usually one per quarter.
  • Inclusive Educators
These book selections explore principles and practices for creating inclusive educational experiences in support of a more diverse campus community consistent with the campus Diversity Learning Objectives. Usually one per quarter, often with the Office of University Diversity and Inclusion as partners.
  • Navigating Academia
These book selections address higher-level questions, issues and challenges facing higher education and faculty life. Occasional.
  • Sustainability Educators
These titles are for educators interested in infusing sustainability into their teaching, part of the campus support for the Sustainability Learning Objectives. Newly launched.
  • Writing Educators
