Creating Accessible Canvas Pages - Winter 2025

Accessibility is the key to creating inclusive learning spaces for students with disabilities. This one-week fully online workshop provides faculty with hands-on experience creating accessible Canvas Pages, in alignment with the requirements and standards set by the CSU Accessible Technology Initiative, Federal Law, and Web Accessibility Guidelines.

Workshop dates for Winter 2025

This one-week workshop is offered during the following weeks:

  • January 13-19 
  • January 21-26

Workshop learning outcomes

By the end of this workshop you will be able to:

  1. Explain why course materials need to be accessible for students with disabilities.
  2. Identify Federal, State, and Cal Poly accessibility requirements.
  3. Create an accessible Canvas Page.

Time commitment: 6-8 hours, depending on skill level.
Stipend: $100 for eligible participants.
