Introduction to Equitable and Inclusive Teaching

Introduction to Equitable and Inclusive Teaching is an introductory workshop that will introduce faculty to evidence-based teaching strategies for equity and inclusion, will support faculty in developing an inclusive course climate, will allow faculty to reflect on the impacts of social identities in higher education teaching and learning environments, and will support faculty in further developing an equitable and inclusive teaching lens.

I commit to participate in the following activities related to this workshop: -I will enroll in and complete Cornell’s Teaching & Learning in the Diverse Classroom asynchronous EdX course. -I will complete supplemental material--additional short readings and assignments that extend faculty learning. -I will attend 6 synchronous Zoom meetings on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12-1pm from June 21- July 2 -I will submit a final project for the program that reflects change(s) made in my courses on the basis of what I learned as part of this experience (more information on deliverables will be shared with the cohort at the first meeting).
