Catherine Hillman, M.S.Ed
Instructional designer & Online Instruction specialist
Catherine Hillman is an Instructional Designer at the CTLT and guides faculty in applying transformational pedagogies to their courses, with particular focus on Hybrid and Online instruction methods. She consults in person and online using collaborative applications, and is the campus coordinator for the QA (Quality Assurance) initiative through the CSU.

Sarah Macdonald, Ph.D.
Assistant Director
Sarah is an Assistant Director in the CTLT. Sarah's work is directed at promoting instructional improvements to achieve campus goals and contribute to universal student success. She provides expertise and scholarship-informed guidance to individual faculty, departments, and colleges to strengthen teaching and enhance student learning. Her work supports faculty in infusing culturally responsive practices and inclusive excellence into instruction, with the goals of increasing intercultural competency and creating open and inclusive learning environments.

Instructional Designer & Lead LMS Admin
Tonia Malone is an Instructional Designer and Lead Canvas LMS Administrator. Tonia is available for consultations for effective teaching with the LMS, using technologies for teaching and learning, as well as course redesign for hybrid, flipped, and online modalities.

Dianna is CTLT Assistant Director and Writing Instruction Specialist. She promotes and develops Writing Across the Curriculum and Writing in the Disciplines teaching approaches. She provides expertise and scholarship-informed guidance to individual faculty, departments, and colleges on developing teaching and curriculum that foster writing-rich learning environments and equitable, authentic assessments.
