Spring 2023- Intro to Equitable and Inclusive Teaching

Please register below to join the Introduction to Equitable and Inclusive Teaching for Spring 2023. If you are interested in participating, but unable to attend this quarter, the application allows you to indicate interest in a future offering. This course includes an asynchronous course, as well as synchronous meetings. Synchronous meetings are on Fridays from 9-10am, April 7-May 12.

Introduction to Equitable and Inclusive Teaching will introduce faculty to evidence-based teaching strategies for equity and inclusion, will support faculty in developing an inclusive course climate, will allow faculty to reflect on the impacts of social identities in higher education teaching and learning environments, and will support faculty in further developing an equitable and inclusive teaching lens.

I commit to participate in the following activities related to this workshop: -I will enroll in and complete Cornell’s Teaching & Learning in the Diverse Classroom asynchronous EdX course. -I will complete supplemental material--additional short readings and assignments that extend faculty learning. -I will attend 6 synchronous Zoom meetings on the Fridays from 9-10am from April 7-May 12. -I will submit all assignments during the course. -I will submit a final project for the program that reflects change(s) made in my courses on the basis of what I learned as part of this experience (more information on deliverables will be shared with the cohort at the first meeting).
