New Faculty Foundations 2026

Thursday and Friday, August 13 & 14 (Tenure-track Faculty), and August 20 (Lecturer Faculty)

The Center for Teaching, Learning, and Technology (CTLT) and Academic Innovations and Planning look forward to hosting you and your new colleagues at New Faculty Foundations (NFF). NFF is a multi-day event designed to welcome you to Cal Poly and to support your holistic success. You will meet the CTLT staff, hear from university leadership, engage with an interactive faculty panel, and learn about Cal Poly.

You will have multiple opportunities throughout the day to connect with your cohort of new colleagues. There will be interactive workshops, networking activities, and more. Breakfast and lunch are included both days, with snacks and beverages to keep you fueled. The afternoons will wrap up with a New Faculty and Families Welcome BBQ, and on the second day, there will be sweet treats and browsing tables provided by the CTLT's Campus Resource Partners.
